Welcome to radow.info
My name is radow.
I use they/them pronouns.
As an indie game developer in their 30s I’ve been working in the games industry since 2018.
Usually working in small teams, I specialize in gameplay programming and game/puzzle design, while also exploring narrative and level design, with a passion for environmental storytelling. When needed I contribute to UI, technical art, and tooling.
On the organizational side, I handle production and project management, keeping projects on track from concept to completion.
Playing games of all kinds has been part of my life from early on. Soon, adapting existing card/board games or creating entirely new ones became a persistent activity. This fascination with designing game systems met with a passion for coding and my personal love of video games. Inevitably, I started coding video games myself.
In 2018 I co-founded Purple Sloth Studio a worker owned indie game studio cooperative. As a studio, we aim to create games that address topics, which are rarely highlighted in video games, while paying close attention to important issues, such as representation, content warnings and avoiding cultural appropriation.
Together with other indie dev coops we started Berlin Game Worker Cooperatives, a community for game dev coops and anyone interested in democratising game studios.
I had the opportunity to talk about my personal journey in the indie space on the OK COOL Podcast, and about the studio on Superlevel. (Both in German.)
