Tuonella is a board game prototype.
Developed over many years Tuonella is a colaborative board game RPG, taking inspiration from a multitude of card, board and videogames and combining them into one unified board game experience. Players take control of a motley crew of adventurers, who set out in order to explore a sprawling high fantasy world, hone their skills and stumble from one quest into the next.
Encounters are seperated into area specific random encounters and scripted events that take place based on quest or main story progress.
As players progress they loot and craft items, level up skills and develop relationships with over a dozend factions in the world.
